CodeParrot is an automated API testing tool that captures production backend traffic and database state to generate and update regression test cases. These captured interactions are replayed in CI pipelines to detect regressions by comparing CI environment responses with production. It supports mocking of downstream dependencies, anonymizes sensitive data for compliance, and targets companies needing scalable regression testing, especially those with low test coverage or many microservices. The product is subscription-based, with self-serve and open source versions planned.
