Webiny is an open-source, self-hosted serverless framework designed for developers to quickly build serverless applications and websites. It combines custom business logic and content management in a single solution, overcoming the limitations of traditional CMS and frameworks. Webiny provides features like rendering and caching pages, optimizing cold-start times, debugging function calls, managing connections between functions and databases, and CI/CD setup. The framework includes a GraphQL API, Admin UI, ACL, CLI for deployment and scaffolding, and a serverless CMS built on AWS Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, Elasticsearch, and S3. The CMS features asset management and a no-code builder for static pages and forms. While currently AWS-only, support for other clouds is planned. Webiny is free under the MIT license, with paid enterprise support and additional features available.
